Following their three-night run of Holiday Sauce in 2025, MacArthur “Genius” Award–winning icon Taylor Mac reunites with Obie Award–winning composer Matt Ray, “the musical nexus of New York’s altcabaret scene” (NY Times) for an intimate evening by one of the great creative partnerships in contemporary American performance. Following their much-heralded durational performance A 24-Decade History of Popular Music (subject of an HBO original documentary), Mac and Ray now join to celebrate the release of an original, illustrated songbook Bark of Millions—a sweeping project exploring queer history, memory, and futures. Electrifying, provocative, and disarming, this duet performance is an open call to community and celebration. In Mac’s own words, “if you’re not invited to the party, throw a better one!” The Bark of Millions book will be published by Black Dog & Leventhal in Fall 2026 and is available for preorder wherever you purchase books. It will be available for purchase in the lobby before and after this performance.
