Registration for the Fall 2026 adult classes is open and will close July 15, 2026. Once the student limit (6) for each of the two classes is reached, registrants will be put on a waiting list. All students will be given the materials needed to make lace, such as a lace pillow, bobbins, basic threads, and pins. The class fee includes the cost of these items. The fee is payable once the registrant's space in the class is confirmed.
Adult Beginner Bobbin Lace Class is a hands-on introductory course where participants learn the historic craft of weaving thread using wooden bobbins and a specialized pillow. This course is designed specifically for adults and costs $250, which covers all your starter materials including the lace pillow, bobbins, pins, and thread to take home. Class size is strictly limited to six participants to ensure plenty of individual instruction, and registration closes on July 15, 2026. The museum is located in Raleigh, and payment is only required once your spot in the session is officially confirmed. Taking this class is a wonderful way to carve out dedicated creative time for yourself on a Monday evening. You will gain a focused, screen-free hobby and connect with other local makers in a quiet, supportive museum setting.
