3rd-5th Adventures - Optical Illusions! is a free, hands-on science program at the Eva Perry Regional Library in Apex where older elementary students learn about vision and eye health through visual tricks. To attend, head to the library in Apex on Monday, September 21, 2026. The program is strictly for children in third through fifth grade, making it a great fit for nine- to eleven-year-olds who enjoy science experiments. Admission is free, but you must pick up a entry ticket at the Youth Services desk starting at 4:45 PM, just fifteen minutes before the session begins. The library has a dedicated parking lot with plenty of spaces, and you do not need to bring any supplies. This event makes an excellent addition to your weekly routine because it offers a structured, educational outlet right after the school day ends. It gives older kids a chance to socialize with peers while participating in interactive, screen-free learning led by local librarians.
