2nd Friday Art Walk (Nov 13, 2026)

The 2nd Friday Art Walk is a monthly community event where local galleries, studios, and businesses open their doors to showcase regional artists, live music, and performances. Visitors can map out a self-guided walking tour through downtown Carrboro and Chapel Hill to view diverse exhibits and interact with local creators. If you are bringing children, focus on the venues clustered near Carrboro Town Hall and the Weaver Street area, which offer plenty of open space to move around. The event is entirely free to attend, though you will want to bring pocket money for treats at local cafes along the route. This event makes a wonderful weekend kickoff because of its relaxed, open-house format. You can easily customize your route to match your children's stamina, stopping for dinner or ice cream whenever anyone needs a break.
