The 2nd-3rd Grade Book Club is a library-led discussion group where young readers talk about a selected book, watch related movie clips, and enjoy snacks together. For this session, the group will focus on Hotel for Dogs by Lois Duncan. What to Know: This free event is designed specifically for children in second and third grade. It takes place in the Children's Programming Room at the South Regional Library in Durham, which offers plenty of free parking in its main lot. While reading the book beforehand is highly encouraged so your child can participate in the discussion, it is not strictly required. You must register your child online before attending to secure a spot. This weekday afternoon event offers a structured yet relaxed environment for early readers to practice comprehension skills and connect with peers who share an interest in books.
