The 2026 Taco Sloth 1M, 5K, 10K, 13.1, 26.2 is a virtual race that allows participants to complete their chosen distance anywhere in the Raleigh area on their own schedule. Because you choose the route, you can easily push a stroller along the Neuse River Trail or let toddlers pace themselves for a one-mile walk at a local park. What to Know: Registration fees apply, though exact pricing varies by sign-up date. Since this is a virtual event, there are no parking hassles, set start times, or crowded courses. You can complete your miles on Saturday morning or split them up throughout the weekend. Your registration includes a custom-made wooden and leather medal shaped like a sloth eating a taco, which is shipped directly to your home after you submit your time. This is an excellent weekend option because it removes the pressure of a traditional race day. You can set up a finish line in your own backyard, celebrate with actual tacos afterward, and get your kids moving without having to wake up at dawn to secure a parking spot at a crowded race venue.
