The 2026 Fall Pumpkin Festival at Hill Ridge Farms is an outdoor autumn celebration featuring farm rides, a pumpkin patch, and seasonal treats. Located just north of Raleigh in Youngsville, this event offers a traditional farm experience where visitors can ride a train, spin on the carousel, and pan for treasures at the gem mine. If you are planning a visit, note that while admission to the farm and your pumpkin are free, some individual activities like the train and gem mining may require separate tickets. The terrain is unpaved, so leave the umbrella stroller at home and opt for a sturdy wagon or all-terrain stroller instead. Do not leave without stopping by the farm stand to buy a dozen of their signature warm apple cider doughnuts. This is an excellent weekend destination because it combines active outdoor play with classic autumn traditions. It is an easy drive for Triangle residents looking to escape the city suburbs for a few hours of fresh air.
Yes, entry to the festival is free, and every guest receives one complimentary pumpkin from the patch. However, certain activities like the train, carousel, and gem mining require additional fees.
What age group is best for this farm festival?
Toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary-aged children will get the most out of the playground, wagon rides, and gentle carousel.
