The North Carolina Assistive Technology Program (NCATP), funded by state and federal sources, hosts an annual Assistive Technology Expo in Raleigh at the McKimmon Conference and Training Center. It’s a public, hybrid, no-cost event designed for people with disabilities, their families, therapists, educators, rehab counselors, employers, and anyone interested in assistive technology. The NCATP 2026 AT Expo features an Exhibition Hall with close to 50 exhibitors showcasing AT devices—ranging from speech-generating devices to vision-enhancing technology to accessible software, a Maker's Room-to display DIY AT and 4 education presentations (session attendees will receive a Certificate of Attendance which can be submitted to your specific licensure board for Professional Development Hours). Once again, NCATP 2026 AT Expo is a hybrid event - combining the tangible energy of an in-person event with the convenience and broad reach of virtual access - truly embodying the NCATP mission: "TO PROMOTE INDEPENDENCE AND INCLUSION FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES THROUGH ACCESS TO TECHNOLOGY".
