The 1,000 Books Bash is a free community celebration at the library designed to honor young children making progress on their early reading goals. Whether your child has read ten books or hundreds, this event recognizes their effort with interactive activities. What to Know: This gathering is designed specifically for children ages five and under along with their caregivers. It takes place on Friday morning at the Green Road Community Library in Raleigh, which offers free on-site parking. You do not need to have completed the reading challenge to attend, and all craft supplies are provided at no cost. This is an excellent Friday morning outing because it combines active play with literacy. It gives toddlers a chance to burn off energy with bubbles while allowing parents to connect with local librarians and grab a fresh stack of books for the weekend.
